Why We Worship Through Giving?

We give because:

1. God owns everything.

“But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.

” (1 Chronicles 29:14)

Everything we have belongs to God.

2. Giving is worship.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)

Giving is not paying a bill.  Giving is aligning our hearts with God.

3. Giving reflects gratitude. We give because He gave first.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Generosity begins with God's generosity. We respond to His grace with gratitude.

4. Giving forms our character.

“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” (Acts 20:35)

Giving increases our trust, our character, and our intimacy with Christ.

5. Giving advances the mission. We give because lives are changed.

"We didn't bring anything into this world, and we won't take anything with us when we leave." (1 Timothy 6:7)

Your generosity supports; worship, discipleship, outreach, missions, care for families, and care for the vulnerable.

Because you gave lives have been changed.
